Cruising Costs provides educational vehicle-cost estimates. These terms explain the limits of those estimates and the rules for using the service.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Cruising Costs on the web or in an app, you agree to these Terms of Use. Cruising Costs is operated by Kestrel Exams LLC. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Cruising Costs is
Cruising Costs is an educational vehicle-affordability, auto-loan, and ownership-cost estimation utility. Core calculator features are designed to work without an account or financial-account connection. Some information may be saved locally on your device so you can return to a scenario.
3. Educational estimates — not professional advice or an offer
Cruising Costs provides general educational estimates for personal planning. It is not a lender, dealer, insurer, tax adviser, financial adviser, or credit-approval service. Results are not an offer, approval, quote, guarantee, or substitute for a lender’s or dealer’s written disclosures.
Taxes, fees, trade-in treatment, add-ons, payment timing, compounding, lender rounding, insurance, fuel or charging costs, maintenance, and other assumptions can vary. Verify the final vehicle price, amount financed, APR, finance charge, payment schedule, total of payments, negative equity, and transaction terms before signing.
4. Your responsibility for inputs and decisions
You are responsible for the assumptions you enter, for reviewing the output, and for independently verifying any figure that will affect a purchase, financing, insurance, tax, or other financial decision.
5. Saved and shared estimates
Saved estimates may be stored locally on your device. A sharing feature may place selected, non-private calculation assumptions into a link so a scenario can be reopened. Budget Fit income and expense fields are excluded from shared-result links. Review a link before sharing it and do not use it for information you consider sensitive.
6. Copyright and ownership
Except for third-party materials identified on the service, the original protectable elements of Cruising Costs — including its software code, written content, graphics, and documentation — are owned by Kestrel Exams LLC or used under license. © 2026 Kestrel Exams LLC. No right to reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from those materials is granted except as permitted by law or with prior written permission from Kestrel Exams LLC.
7. Acceptable use
You may use Cruising Costs for lawful personal or business planning. You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, bypass security controls, or commercially redistribute its proprietary code or content without authorization. Nothing here restricts rights that applicable law gives you.
8. Third-party services and links
Cruising Costs may link to or rely on third-party infrastructure, content-delivery networks, app stores, or support services. Those third parties control their own services and privacy practices. A link does not by itself imply endorsement of unrelated third-party content.
9. Privacy
The Cruising Costs Privacy Policy explains how local calculator data, shared links, technical requests, and support submissions are handled.
10. Availability and changes
We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features of Cruising Costs. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. If paid features are introduced, applicable purchase, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be presented as required before a purchase.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, Cruising Costs is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kestrel Exams LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from reliance on an estimate or use of the service. This limitation does not apply where applicable law prohibits it.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as the product evolves. The date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
